Located in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez, this Islander Freeport 36 is a Bob Perry design and is well known for it’s live-aboard comfort.  With its modified keel and a full skeg rudder, it’s a safe blue water off shore cruiser. “Free Spirit” was upgraded with many extras to make it a safe and comfortable cruising machine! Having solar panels and a water-maker, this boat is “off the grid” and can stay at anchor for as long as you wish. With it’s “Manson” and “Bruce” anchors – you can feel safe when you are asleep or just take the dinghy for an off the boat on-shore trip. When back on-board, just hoist the dinghy on the davits! The engine is located in the center of the boat, which adds to the balance and stability. It also provides good access for routine services. Fully-batten main-sail (3 reef points!) and a jib on a furler, both in excellent as good as new condition, will get you comfortably anywhere you want. The boat is ready to have all the lines lead to the cockpit for an easy and safe single handing if desired. Engine was serviced thoroughly. Engine and bilges recently painted.

Buying a boat in Mexico can have tax advantages in saving you the State Sales Tax and the boat is already where you want to start Cruising, in Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.  When buying a boat in Mexico, all of the title transfer, paperwork and funds transfers are handled in the United States by a Marine Documentation Services Company for your convenience and piece of mind.
