Description
Nepenthe is a 1986 Pan Oceanic 38 with a flush deck, pilot house, cutter designed by Ted Brewer. Built in the Philippines, Nepenthe was purchased there by the original owner and sailed to Turkey. She then sailed to California, and finally to the Sea of Cortez.
Ted Brewer’s Pan Oceanic line of sailboats started with a 46 footer (40 to 50 of them), then a 43 footer (about 15), then he was asked to squeeze all the features of the larger boats into a 38 footer. Only six 38’s have been identified.
This boat is spacious as well as compact. It can take you all around the Sea of Cortez and anywhere around the world!
