Description

Awarded the 2006 European Yacht of the Year, this beautiful 2007 Hanse ‘Red Surge’ has had two owners since new who took great care of her, and the last owner purchased her in 2019 for a cruise around the world. While health issues got in the way of the grand plan, he added at least $100,000 in upgrades to make Red Surge a true Bluewater cruiser. After sailing a couple years in the beautiful BC Gulf Islands, the owner sailed her down to Mexico – the first 800 miles single-handed without issue. She now resides in beautiful Banderas Bay at Paradise Village in Nuevo Nayarit (aka Nuevo Vallarta) and is ready for the next adventure. With two cabins, a large master with custom mattress, and plenty of storage, this is a liveaboard boat perfect for a couple or another adventurous single hander. Red Surge is a fast and comfortable boat built to German standards by Hanse and the model is the 400e or ‘epoxy’ wherein the building technique makes for a very strong yet light boat.

Buying a boat in Mexico can have some tax advantages in saving you state sales tax and the boat is already where you want to start cruising. When buying a boat in Mexico, all of the title transfer, paperwork, and funds transfers are handled in the United States by a Marine Documentation Services Company for your convenience and peace of mind.

The owners of La Paz Cruisers Supply and Brokerage are cruisers themselves and have been living and cruising aboard in Mexico since 2008. Our team has crossed oceans, sailed to the South Pacific, delivered catamarans from South Africa and sailed around the Caribbean, Mediterranean and world. Our goal isn’t to waste your time, but to help you find a boat that fits your budget and dreams.
