“SV Epic” is a cold-molded catamaran, made by the famous “Schionning Kits & Designs” company in South Africa. It was assembled in Washington and launched in 2016. Its current owners sailed from Seattle to the Sea of Cortez, Mexico where they cruise around and explore for the past 6 years. With the draft only at 28″ (!!!) deep when the dagger boards are up, you can really explore deep into the bay as if you are sailing your dinghy.
“Epic” is built for cruisers who like to keep it simple. Basic electronics suit, easy to access systems, 2 fixed outboard engines when there is no wind. Even a small puff of wind, and this boat will sail. With a displacement of only 8000 lbs. this boat will take-off from light winds – perfect for the Sea of Cortez.
